The following is an original newspaper from 1861. This copy of the New York Herald is dated January 31, 1861 which makes it 149 years old! The paper speaks of important news from the South and and even speaks of an expected attack on Fort Sumter months before the war ever started. The paper gives an interesting preface to the war in the months before. This would look real nice framed in a Civil War Room.
