This was an unbelievable find. This is an original copy of Gettysburg, by George Gordon Meade, son of the hero of Gettysburg General George Gordon Meade. The book was written in 1924 and is a first edition. The cover is somewhat loose and there is a water stain starting on page 33 and running to the end of the book but does not detract from any of the pages readability. The book is soft cover and 110 pages total. I have seen reproductions sold at the Gettysburg Battlefield but this is the first original first edition that I have ever come across. A definite must for the Gettysburg enthusiast or to add to any Civil War library.
